Consider different products for skincare regimen

I ordered the Men’s Essentials Kit to start a new skincare regimen. The cleanser smells great, but leaves my skin red and irritated after using it. I thought I just needed an adjustment period, but it consistently causes redness and irritation after using it for over a week. The toner is so far the only thing I like out of the bundle. It smells nice and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. The face oil (even if just using a drop or two), leaves my face greasy feeling and I’m unable to layer it with serum or moisturizer, or it just gets worse. Since I’ve started using these products, my skin has broken out and been more oily than ever. I would not recommend.

Hi Chris, thank you for your honest review! We wanted to reach out to understand more about what's going on so we can intervene accordingly. Just a few quick questions/comments:

(1) Did you receive a facial at one of our locations recently where one of our estheticians recommended the specific products in this kit for you? If so, please let us know when/where so we can connect with our location directly to gather more information!

(2) The Lotus Cleanser is an AHA cleanser, which means that it has natural exfoliating properties in it. Not knowing when you received your last deep exfoliation, our initial take is that the cleanser may be too strong for your skin to tolerate daily from the outset. We recommend adjusting the Lotus Cleanser to being used only 2x per week until your skin gets used to it.

(3) Based on your review only, it seems you may have naturally oily skin. If that is the case, a face oil is meant to help your natural oil production, not make your skin more oily. Our initial take is that you need to adjust how you are using the face oil. Try this as your routine for 7 days and let us know what you see:

(a) Lotus Cleanser - use 2x per week (for now, and then increase/adjust as needed as your skin gets used to it. Use a gentle daily cleanser for the other 5 days for now).

(b) Savasana Toner - use it immediately after washing your face daily.

(c) Hey Handsome Face Oil - use 2 drops immediately after toning, daily. Only if more is needed, then add another small drop. *Discontinue the use of all other cosmetic products including your serum & moisturizer, as it's safer to not blend other products, and they may not be interacting well with the face oil. The face oil is meant to be used as a standalone product anyway.

We are confident that some simple adjustments to your routine will help you see the results you're looking for. I got this for my husband, and not only does he love the oil, he's using the cleanser and the toner regularly! I love the way his face looks and smells after using these products :)

Smooth products, easy to distribute evenly on your face and heightens facial features. Feels good and smells good as well. Face clears up after some time just have to be consistent.
